Terms & cancellation policy

Tarragindi Rehearsal Studios is operated by Nicholas Thomas Keogh-Peel, trading as Tarragindi Rehearsal Studios (part of Tarragindi Music Studios), Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. When you book a session you're entering an agreement with us, and by continuing to use this site and booking a room you accept these terms.

Bookings are made online and are confirmed by email as soon as payment goes through. If you don't receive a confirmation, the booking hasn't gone through — call or text us on 0429 119 536.

Sessions run around the clock, seven days a week, except 6am–4pm Monday to Friday when the room is used for teaching.

Your booked block includes your setup and pack-down time. Please arrive ready to start and be packed up by the end of your block, as another band may be booked straight after you.

The person who makes the booking must be 18 or over and is responsible for everyone they bring with them. Bands with members under 18 are welcome with a responsible adult present.

Cancel or reschedule more than 48 hours before your start time and there's nothing to pay — no fee, and any amount already paid is refunded in full.

Cancel or reschedule between 24 and 48 hours before your start time and 50% of the booking fee is still payable, so half of what you've paid is refunded. A rehearsal room left empty at short notice is very hard to re-fill, which is why this fee exists.

Cancel less than 24 hours before your start time and the full booking fee is payable — no refund is given.

No-shows, and sessions cut short once they've started, are charged at the full booking fee.

Reschedules are subject to availability and, if requested inside 48 hours, are treated as a cancellation.

If we ever have to cancel your session (equipment failure, emergency, or anything else on our end) you'll be offered another time or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Rates are $80 for a 3 hour block and $110 for a 4 hour block, including the drum kit, digital mixer and in-ear monitoring rack.

Sessions are paid for in full online at the time of booking. The room is only held for you once payment has succeeded.

Sessions are sold by Nicholas Thomas Keogh-Peel, trading as Tarragindi Rehearsal Studios, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. We are the seller for every booking and handle all customer service, cancellations and refunds directly. Card payments are processed securely on our behalf by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

Extra items (cymbals, snare or other add-ons) are charged as quoted at the time of booking.

We provide the room, backline drum kit (shells, hardware and stool), digital mixer, headphone amps and sends, microphones, mic stands and guitar hangers.

You bring your own in-ear monitors (earphones), guitar and bass amplifiers, instruments, breakables and any leads specific to your gear.

Our gear is maintained and tested regularly, but if something isn't working, tell us straight away rather than trying to fix it yourself.

Please treat the room as you'd want to find it: no rearranging or removing studio equipment, no unplugging or re-patching the mixer or in-ear rack, and no adjusting the room's fixed cabling.

Leave the room clean and tidy, with rubbish in the bin and the drum kit as you found it. A cleaning fee may apply if the room is left in poor condition.

No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property. Illegal drugs are not permitted. Alcohol is not permitted unless we've approved it in advance.

Food and drink: water and sealed drinks are fine, but keep them away from the mixer, rack and drum kit.

Pets, additional PA systems, pyrotechnics and open flames are not permitted.

You're responsible for any damage to the room, the building or our equipment caused by you or anyone in your group during your booking, including reasonable repair or replacement costs.

Report any breakage, damage or fault before you leave. We may invoice for damage identified within 14 days of your session.

We're not responsible for your instruments or personal belongings. Anything you bring is left at your own risk, and gear can't be stored at the studio between sessions unless we've agreed to it.

The studio sits in a residential neighbourhood. Please keep noise outside the room down — no idling cars, shouting or gathering on the street, especially late at night and early in the morning.

Load in and out quietly, park considerately, and keep driveways and neighbouring properties clear.

Access details for your session are for your band only. Please don't share door codes or keys.

Rehearsal rooms are loud. Hearing protection and sensible monitoring levels are your responsibility, and using our in-ear system does not remove that responsibility.

Anyone behaving unsafely, abusively or in a way that puts the room, our gear or other people at risk will be asked to leave, and the session will be charged in full.

You use the studio at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss, injury or damage is limited to the value of your booking. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

We collect your name, band name, email and phone number only to manage your booking and to contact you about it. We don't sell or share your details, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here at the time you book is the one that applies to your session.

We may refuse, suspend or end a booking without further obligation if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, if payment fails or is reversed, if there's a safety, security or fraud risk, or if the room or our neighbours are being put at risk. Where we end a session for one of these reasons, the booking fee isn't refunded.

We'll always try to talk it through with you first where it's safe and practical to do so.

The studio, its equipment, our name, logo and the content of this website remain ours. You're welcome to photograph and film your own rehearsal, but please don't use our branding to imply endorsement or a partnership without asking.

We look after the room and the gear carefully, but we can't guarantee the studio, our equipment or this website will always be available or completely free of faults. Anything that goes wrong, we'll fix or offer you another time or a refund as set out above.
